WHO WE ARE
Grafted meets in the home of leaders Tom and Jill Baker on Monday nights at 7:30. All aged 18 to 35 are welcome to attend for worship, prayer, and expository study of scripture. Come learn how we are bound to Christ by God's grace, and we can freely receive a life of hope, love and all good things through Jesus.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE GRAFTED?
In the simplest sense, grafting is taking the branch of one tree and inserting it into the trunk of another tree. Once the two are bound together they become unified and grow as one tree. The branch that is inserted gets its source of life and its ability to produce fruit from the tree it becomes a part of. The Bible tells us that once we become Christians, we are like branches grafted into the tree of life which is Jesus Christ.(Romans 11:11-24) Our source of life, the fruit we produce, and our very identity are now found in Christ. We know that becoming one with Him has come to us only by faith through God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9) and for that reason we commit ourselves to live our lives worthy of the gospel (Philippians 1:27) by loving and serving others, sharing the message of Jesus with the world, and doing all that we do to the glory of God. We believe that to grow and understand how to do all these things, we are again covered by the grace of God as he gives us his Holy Spirit to open our hearts and our minds to understand God’s will; and to know his will starts with knowing his word, for every word of scripture is God-breathed(2 Timothy 3:16). We invite you to join us as we study the scriptures together and learn how we are bound to Christ by God’s grace and we can freely receive a life of hope, love, and all good things through Jesus.
